- Ensure
family understands appropriate dosing for the patient’s weight for ibuprofen
and acetaminophen (with the instructions that I provided with the discharge
paperwork). Note that 1 kg = 2.2 pounds
for conversion. - The
work/school note is for you (the RN) to fill out per your discretion, if you think the family needs it. - Ensure
the family is aware of how to contact their primary care doctor for follow up.
If not, please request registration to come to provide that information to the
family.
